Art is more then copying a picture or another person's idea. Art is about exploring and experimenting with one's individual ideas, creativity, interests, and style. Art is emotion. Art is a narrative. I support my students in a patient and calm manner. We have fun while traditional and contemporary drawing and painting techniques are learned, explored and perfected. My goal is to help you learn to naturally observe the world around you. See the lighting, perspective, proportions, changes with seasons, anatomy, and so much more. Then transpose that skill into art you are proud of.  I strive to help you grow as an artist no matter the age or ability. The idea is to actually learn and grow. I do not touch up student's work and do not expect all students to end up with the same cookie cutter art. Creativity is encouraged.

My students include the beginner to the more sophisticated artist who wants to grow.

I teach the young child, teen, adults and elders.

Classes are held in my studio, on-line, Bellevue College, Bellevue Botanical Gardens,

Britney Park, King County Library, Woodin Creek and on Art and Yoga Retreats around the world.
