Art can be done at any age with a little planning. As we age, sometimes fingers get cranky and don't grip well, or the mind has a hard time computing steps, or it can just be challenging to focus on art when your back, hands or arm hurts. Students in their 90s can have fun and be successful working on short projects that take around an hour to complete. The key is to have less steps, designed with gentle curves, and utilizing watercolor. Watercolor is a soft medium that can be held with a loose grip and little to no pressure. When you have all of these elements, art in your 90s can be so fun and rewarding no matter if you have experience or are new to art!
